My Approach
Stress is demanding, and feeling stressed or under pressure is quite common. Stress can originate from various sources such as work pressure, relationship issues, or personal challenges. It's no surprise that we become stressed! Many of us tend to overlook or don't even realise the level of stress we're experiencing until we encounter more serious warning signs or health-related issues that arise from these ongoing pressures. It's important to remember that some aspects of stress can help keep us focused and attentive in situations that require our full Focus. However, stress becomes problematic when it is constant, leading to feelings of being overwhelmed. The ongoing experience of stress can significantly harm both physical and mental health. Therefore, it’s crucial to seek help as soon as we notice the early signs of stress. Although stress and anxiety are different experiences, they often feel similar. Both are physiological responses to threats or demands and trigger the “fight or flight” response. The Fight or Flight Response is a fundamental aspect of human physiology that has evolved to protect us from harm. While it is an essential mechanism for survival, it's crucial to recognise when this response is being triggered excessively in daily life. Understanding the nuances of this automatic reaction and implementing healthy coping strategies, we can navigate the challenges of modern life with resilience.
